| APPLICATION: |
All registration is online.
Note: you will need to create a team account with GotSoccer.com in order to register. Please email the NGS Columbus Day committee if you have any questions. | APPLICATION DEADLINE: |
September 15, 2008 For late applicants -- please simply submit your application online. There's no need to email us to ask if there's room first -- that will just delay your applying and potentially let some other team get ahead of you! Please pay by credit card. We will try to charge your credit card only if we have space for your team. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ELIGIBILITY: | The tournament is open to all girls town travel teams. Out of state
teams are welcome, but should have written permission-to-travel approval
from their state organizations. No "invitations" are required in
order to apply. Note -- BAYS Division 3 teams (and comparable teams from outside BAYS) are welcome to enter the tournament. We intend to have three levels of competition this year, roughly corresponding to BAYS Division 1, 2, and 3. Please try to provide us with as much information as you can about your team in the comment field of your application, so we can place your team appropriately -- especially for teams applying from outside BAYS and outside Massachusetts. Club "developmental" level teams will be considered on a case by case basis. If accepted, club teams will only play in Division 1. No Premiere-level teams. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ENTRY FEES: |
There is an early registration discount of $25 for all teams who apply and pay prior to
August 15, 2008.
No dual rostering -- each player may only play for one team. Each team may have up to two "guest" players, meaning players who are not registered to play in your town's soccer league. Teams who play in the same town leagues are free to combine rosters. Note -- there is no 11v11 section in U12 since BAYS dropped that format two years ago. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
| GAMES: | Each team is guaranteed four games, and may play as many as five. Games are played on Saturday and Sunday. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| TROPHIES & AWARDS: | All players on each of the championship and runner-up teams in each of the U12 and U14 age group brackets will receive trophies. All U10 players participating in the tournament will receive an individual tournament medallion. One team in each age and division bracket will receive a sportsmanship award. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| PATCHES: | The tournament is a patch exchange event. The exchange of club patches or pins between competing teams is traditional and customary. Teams will exchange club patches after each game. In addition, each player will receive a commemorative tournament patch or pin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ACCOMMODATIONS: | Please contact the tournament committee if you need advise on where to book accomodations. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| QUESTIONS: | We will be happy to answer any questions you might have. Please e-mail the tournament committee, or leave a message at (617) 630-0253. |
