Newton Girls Soccer is also looking for 7th and 8th grade girls interested in helping with coaching our kindergarten teams. As an assistant coach for the Kindergarten program, you would attend a pre-season training and orientation session, run by MPS.  The Kindergarten curriculum focuses heavily on teaching skills and technique.  As an assistant coach, you would work with the MPS coaches, highlight all the things the players are doing well, and also work to correct their technique when it's not correct.  There are three (3) 1st Grade sessions, 8.30am, 10.00am and 11.30am, and two (2) Kindergarten sessions,  2:00pm and 3:15pm, each Saturday afternoon .   You would be assigned to one session each Saturday, and you would be expected to be available for about 75% of the sessions (and let us know when you cannot make it).
