Girls Soccer -- new registration system
May 2008
After nearly six years of using active.com as our online registration
provider, NGS is switching to a new provider -- CountMeIn.com (CMI). While
active.com was very effective at collecting registration information and
payments, the system did not offer a lot of services past the initial
registration process. Some of the improvements we expect from
CMI:
-
Persistent family account - parents don’t have to register their kids at the
same time to get the sibling discount. (Note -- there are no
"maintenance fees" associated with having an online account, and the account
will persist for however long we use CMI, even if there's a season where you
don't register. Remembering credit card information is optional, not
required.)
-
Families can log back in to see the status of their registration - e.g. your
child's team assignment.
-
Persistent account means subsequent seasons' registrations are very easy,
your and your child's information would still be present.
-
Team formation can be done online, and communicated online.
-
Targeted email blasts in a richer way than active.com, including the ability
to do targeted online surveys.
-
Team websites – i.e. a private area we can offer coaches or parent
team-manager to post roster
information, game and practice schedules, team announcements, and optionally
information like team pictures and game descriptions.
(These team websites would only be visible
when logged into your family account.)
-
Selling additional stuff. i.e. potentially online ordering for
uniforms and other things at any time throughout the season – not just at
registration time.
-
Automated game scheduling system for the age group coordinators
-
Field scheduling, including practice fields
-
Referee scheduling (this is expected in a release to be available prior to
Sept 2008)
-
Referee payments
