Even if your daughter will not be able to attend tryouts, you should still register now so that we know how many girls are planning to play. Please note that we do not have make up dates scheduled. We understand that some girls will not be able to attend their scheduled assessment. We will use the coach evaluation information to make sure your daughter is placed on the appropriate team.
If you have other daughters that will play in the IM program, please register them now to obtain the family discount. We can not apply this discount if the girls are registered separately.

You may still register after a program registration deadline, but your registration will be put on a waitlist. Names will be taken off the waitlist on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your daughter does not end up getting placed on a team, you will be issued a refund.
Once you understand the NGS program options, please read the following before proceeding with Online Registration:
| Scholarship | It is the policy of Newton Girls Soccer that no girl should be denied the opportunity to play soccer due to her family's financial situation. Those applying for a scholarship should send a note to the NGS President. All scholarship requests are confidential. (Note -- it is no longer necessary to use a paper form when applying for a scholarship. if your scholarship is granted you will receive instructions for how to register online.) |
| Non-credit card registrants | Online registration is designed to simplify the process for parents and NGS volunteers, and simplifies the registration process by allowing payment by credit card. NGS strongly encourages all registrants to use the on-line system. Those that need to register offline by check may do so by filling out the paper form and mailing it to NGS with a check. |
| Multiple child discount | NGS provides a $20 discount for the second child in the same family, and a $30 per-child discount on each additional child (3rd or beyond). All children must be registered at the same time to receive the sibling discount. |
| Refunds | Registrants who must cancel prior to June 15 (Travel)/July 31 (IM) can receive a refund of their registration fee, less $6 for processing. After those dates, there are no refunds. Please register only if you're sure you can play. Late dropouts can leave teams shorthanded, making things difficult for the remaining players. |
| Player Safety | No jewelry of any kind may be worn during play--no bracelets, necklaces, earrings or rings. Players may not wear beads, barrettes or other hard/sharp items. Newly pierced ears may notbe taped. Players may not participate with casts or splints of any kind. Shinguards must be completely covered by socks at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS! |
| You cannot register without a valid email address | Your email address is also the name of your registration account. Also, all communication from NGS concerning you child's participation in our soccer programs will use the email address supplied. |
| Friend requests | It is only possible request team placement with a friend in the Intramural program. You may request one friend and only one friend and that friend must request you. If you try to squeeze two names in the friend request field, it will just be ignored, particularly since we match these by computer now. To make matching easier, we ask that you enter the full and precise first and last name of your friend. This is much easier if families use their child's proper legal name when registering and not nicknames. I.e. please register "Elizabeth Smith", not "beth smith". |
| Last but not least... | When you are finished registering online you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this confirmation, please email the NGS Registrar to confirm your registration was successful. |
